This film, being based on a series of books (22 of them, with a 23rd to be released this year) featuring the same character, honestly didn't really need to exist. One that I'd still say was pretty good, but nothing that you really needed to see.

I was complimentary to the movie in my review, but I wasn't blown away by it or felt that it brought anything new to the table. Having said that, let's move on to this flick, shall we? This, obviously, a sequel to the original Jack Reacher. He doesn't have a varied filmography, to say the least.
Again, he's a good actor, but I just wish I could see him do something a little more different. Not saying that he doesn't put in the effort to give a good performance, but it's just a thing of been there, done that far too many times for it to really mean anything to me anymore. There's no interesting stories to be told, because he's done it all. I felt that he was tremendous in Collateral, quite possibly his best performance ever, but he's spent so many years playing the hero that, honestly, there's no real depth to that anymore. As far as the quality of his performances is concerned.
I don't think any single one of his movies is ever gonna break box office records, but at least with him in the lead role, you're guaranteed extra eyeballs. That was the roughest period his career has been in and, even then, he still managed to recover and his career has been very steady. And there's also that weird period in 2005-ish, where he went crazy, jumped on Oprah's couch declaring his love for Katie Holmes and embraced the cult of Scientology. Obviously, not every Tom Cruise movie is a winner, commercially speaking at least.

Realistically speaking, he's been bankable for over 35 years now, if you start counting when he hit it big with Risky Business in 1983, which was a full five years before I was born. They decide to protect her since a skilled assassin is hunting them down while they try to find the motive of the conspiracy.Say what you will about the man, but Tom Cruise has been one of the most bankable box office draws for the longest time. Jack also learns that Samantha is in danger and Turner and he rescue her. Soon, they realize that there is a conspiracy involving military people from the army and a government contractor that is a powerful arms dealer. He sees that Turner and he have been framed and also that Turner will be killed by two assassins. When Moorcroft is murdered, Jack is accused of being the killer and sent to a prison.
Further, he also tells Jack he is being sued, accused by a woman of being the father of her fifteen year-old daughter, Samantha. Jack seeks out her veteran lawyer, Colonel Bob Moorcroft, who explains that Major Turner has also been accused of the murders of two soldiers in Afghanistan. However, he meets her substitute, Colonel Sam Morgan, who explains that Major Turner has been arrested and accused of espionage.
